
JACQUES ADNET (1900-1984)
Important chest of drawers in oak, clad in shagreen with original gilt and bronze details. The slightly curved front features three central drawers with gilt bronze handles, flanked by two doors on either side.
This remarkable piece was made as a private commission. The only other known example, numbered N°2, belongs to the prestigious Mobilier National in Paris and was created for the French State. Our chest of drawers, numbered N°3, indicates it was produced during the same period.
