Erich Dieckmann was a German cabinetmaker, furniture designer, and university lecturer, considered one of the most important furniture designers of the Bauhaus in Weimar and Dessau. He primarily developed furniture, focusing on cabinets,

tables, and seating, initially executed in wood with simple geometric forms and rectangular frames, emphasizing functional clarity and standardized production.​
