Guelfucci Gallery 'Oak' Exhibition, Design Miami. Basel, June 13 - 19, 2022, Messe Basel, Booth G 21

Among the major milestones was Galerie Guelfucci's participation in Design Miami.Basel in 2022, where a dedicated exhibition was presented on the oak tree in the works of Jean-Michel Frank, Jean Royère, Eyre de Lanux, André Groult, Jacques Adnet, and others. The exhibition also reflected Laurent Guelfucci’s personal connection with the oak tree, which is the emblem of his family’s heritage in Corte, Corsica. A large evergreen oak in the family estate’s park served as the primary inspiration for the exhibition’s theme. The oak, one of the favored woods of the Art Deco period in the 1920s and 1930s, was prominently featured, highlighting the brilliance of the selected designers. The exhibition elegantly illustrated how the simplicity of the wood accentuates the minimalist genius of the designers chosen by Guelfucci for the fair.
