
ÉMILE-JACQUES RUHLMANN (1879 – 1933)
A mahogany desk, designed by Émile-Jacques Ruhlmann and edited by Alfred Porteneuve. Semi-circular top resting on two drawer units with silvered bronze handles.
This desk is a variation of model No. 1517 NR from Ruhlmann's reference catalogue. Commissioned by Mr. Hotschild, this smaller-scale version without the letter rack compartment was subsequently reproduced by Alfred Porteneuve.
