

ÉMILE-JACQUES RUHLMANN (1879 – 1933)
Daybed in Amboyna burl, variant of the Marozeau model, with a curved backrest, resting on four rectangular sculpted feet in gilt bronze. The model designed by Émile-Jacques Ruhlmann and edited by Porteneuve, circa 1934, for the Borderie family.
This ensemble included the present daybed, a full Bibol 3 wardrobe stamped “Designed by Ruhlmann, edited by Porteneuve”, as well as a bedside table.
Marozeau model, with a different shape of feet, referenced under number 535AR and 501NR in the Ruhlmann Archives.
