ARMAND-ALBERT RATEAU (1882 - 1938)
Unique pair of cabinets in neo-classical inspiration style. Commissioned for the dining room of a private mansion in the rue Raffet in Paris in 1928.
The pediments with inverted doucines in solid amaranth are carved with a
light gadrooned canopy. The frame rests on carved fluted legs.
Functioning as a bar-cabinet, the first piece boasts a set of two drawers, whe-
reas the second, a silverware cabinet, features a set of five drawers, opened by
keys in the shape of bees.
Stamped '1405-5405' and '1405-5405' bis.
